Parlour was looking for a website to showcase the spirit of their playful, upscale menu which caters to foodies and families alike. We highlighted their energetic brand by emphasizing the vibrancy of their business in a friendly, visual way.
Having been provided with a logo, we expanded their brand identity developing a color scheme, curating their existing imagery and developing a responsive online identity that showcases the culinary experience they bring to the table. The result is a fresh, friendly site that speaks to the chef’s passion for food experiences.
Parlour provided their logo for us to work with. A unique personal design created by the owner’s father, their logo communicates at a glance the establishment’s emphasis on fresh and natural ingredients. The leaves and vegetables incorporated into the design coalesce to create an organic flow throughout the composition.
To keep the consistency of design, we selected Fredericka The Great as the main typeface. The fun and casual font reminded us of the fresh spirit of the brand’s logo and helped to communicate a strong personal identity throughout the website. For the paragraphs, we chose Montserrat, a sans-serif rounded font that is highly readable and easy on the eye. This choice instantly created a playful contrast with the main typeface.
As per our client’s requests, we kept a neutral monochromatic color palette that doesn’t allow for any distractions and instead visually guides visitors to focus on the brand’s vibrant imagery and unique array of culinary creations.
